Meet The Characters of Rise Of The Sky Pirate – Part 1
Rise of the Sky Pirate goes to the editor next month! My own edits have been snail-pace slow—and I just discovered a HUGE plot hole!—but I have a schedule, and so far, so good.
In the meantime, I’d love for you to meet some of the characters!
BENEDICT KEENAN
Keenan is a man trying to be someone he’s not. Growing up as an orphan in London Below, he wanted to live in Upper London with the alchemists and, most importantly, the rich and the nobles. Saving up for some more expensive clothing, he relearned his posture, speech, and etiquette to be like one of them.
In Rise of the Sky Pirate, the first in the spin-off series, we explore the beginnings of how he came to be the infamous sky pirate captain of the Doom Crusaders from The Techno Mage.

MATHIAS DARLEY
Mathias is a surgeon for the Royal Medical Services stationed in Upper Niagara Falls.
He is kind-hearted and takes his vow of saving lives very seriously. If it wasn’t for constantly trying to please his parents, he might have become an author.
In Rise of the Sky Pirate, we see the gradual trust and friendship that forms between him and Keenan as they are put through the wringer on their adventure.

ROSALIND “KITCH” GLADSTONE
Growing up alongside Keenan as an orphan in London Below, Kitch keeps him out of as much trouble as possible, and—most importantly—out of prison.
Wanting a more comfortable life for herself, she moves up her own ladder through hard work and resourcefulness within a brothel. Knowing about Keenan’s dreams of living in the Upper Lands, she constantly gets on him to clean up his act.
In Rise of the Sky Pirate, we see the result of both Kitch’s actions and words as she helps keep Keenan on his path to glory.

I can’t wait to share more with you! Next round, amongst others, you’ll get to meet the antagonist; the one that had been called “THAT PIRATE GUY” in my first draft, and RAIDER in my second draft. Are you ready to find out more about him? Like his actual name? lol
