Rise of the Sky Pirate Turns One!
I can’t believe Rise of the Sky Pirate will be a full year old this Wednesday!
While The Techno Mage‘s launch was a lot of trial and error working up to its release, Rise of the Sky Pirate‘s launch went much more smoothly.
I outsourced when needed. Still not consistently making enough for a virtual assistant or social media manager yet (which is definitely first on my list), but I have hired blog tour companies and planning services to ease my load.
I didn’t spread myself thin on launch day. Instead, I allowed myself a full week to do what was required, especially when it came to replying to readers’ comments on social media.
The multiple courses/trainings/masterclasses/intensives/coachings I’ve taken over the past few years have definitely paid off. Sure, I’m still perfecting my launch—I’m only just releasing my third novel next month, after all—but perfecting the foundation that has already been laid is far better than starting from scratch time and time again.
But the best part of what made this past year so great is you. Thank you to everyone who has read Rise of the Sky Pirate (and even The Techno Mage!), reviewed it, followed me on social media, shared my posts, gushed over my characters, signed up for my newsletter, interviewed me, joined my live readings, hung out with me at author events, and just generally have been wonderful. You are the reason I keep going. And I am forever grateful.
