Preptober 2019
NaNoWriMo 2019 is mere hours away!
For those of you who have never heard of NaNoWriMo, head on over to my Preptober 2018 post here.
I wish I could say that I’ve prepped a little better for NaNoWriMo this October, but that would be a lie. I do, however, have a Plan A and a Plan B-
Plan A: Writing a finished retelling of the Baal Cycle (The Baal Cycle is an Ugaritic set of stories about the Canaanite god Ba’al, which is actually unfinished).
Plan B: Two words- Mandela Effect.
I had planned on digging deeper into the Baal Cycle, but I just never had time… Working a full-time job, spending time with my family, taking my toddler to different amusing activities during the weekend, and desperately trying to finish revising my current WIP (I have eight-and-a-half scenes left to revise!) has just kept me busy and exhausted.
So what will I do?
Simple: I’ll just keep being the Pantser that I am. We Pantsers work best without a plan. We work best when we’re writing by the seat of our pants.
I can easily summarize the Baal Cycle, so I guess that’s really all I need in order to stretch that summary into 50k words.
How about you? If you’re a writer, how did your Preptober go? If you’re not a writer, what are your plans for November?
